“Cuba was hit by two consecutive hurricanes and a few days later by a strong earthquake,” said Dr. Alidson Gómez, president of that social organization, who informed that the campaign would be in effect until December 27.

The organization leader spoke before more than 1,00 people at the Cinematheque of Bolivia, where he recalled that the Cuban people are accustomed to fighting and winning in the worst conditions, from which they have always risen.

He added, however, that it is necessary to express “our support” in a concrete way, and noted that voluntary contributions can be made through a QR code that was projected on a screen.

The statement delivered to Prensa Latina concludes with the call, “Bring down the Blockade!”
