It is a very solid package, important changes are coming in the way the budget is distributed, the deficit is reduced’, said the president, referring that this means a greater effort of the whole government in republican austerity.

This will not affect the country’s operation, nor the government’s, and social welfare programs and public investments will be guaranteed, clarified the dignitary, who mentioned that the strengthening of the state-owned Petróleos Mexicanos will strengthen the country’s economy as a whole.

Mexico’s economy is solid, it is strong and we are going to get ahead next year’, she assured.

The authorities, she added, will be even more dedicated to strengthen customs collection, to reduce the formalities at the Tax Administration Service to increase income and to avoid evasion.

If additional reforms are necessary, we will be working on them during the next year, but I still believe -we have been studying it for several months now- there are many opportunities for collection without the need of a deep tax reform’, she stated.
