Through a message on X, the president assured that with the project of refounding the homeland, these Honduran populations will never be forgotten again.
The president visited San Francisco de Opalaca, Intubucá, cradle of indigenous resistance in this Central American nation, where she officially launched the productive technological bonus for post-harvest that will benefit more than 230 thousand people.
“I spoke with the partners of the Lenca Indigenous Agricultural Cooperative Limited, and its president, Mr. Isidro, told me about the importance of the Coffee and Technology Bonus and how it has improved their productivity and sales. They are a real success,” Castro wrote on the aforementioned digital platform.
She also announced the repair of a bridge and more than 56 kilometers of road that was never attended to by neoliberal governments.
According to the Honduran press secretary, the head of state, after announcing that her government is carrying out different projects desired by the Lenca population in Intibucá, said that the Executive made the decision to turn its eyes to the countryside.
In this regard, the dignitary mentioned the coup d’état (2009) against the then president Manuel Zelaya and stated that the last 12 years and seven months showed how difficult and hard it is for the Honduran people when a narco-dictatorship governs.
The Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Laura Suazo, highlighted the government’s support for Honduran producers, which allows guaranteeing basic grains and food to the most deprived and historically forgotten families.
