German businessmen want to resume trade with Russia

Berlin, Nov 14 (Prensa Latina) German industrialists have expressed their desire to resume trade in Russia with the support of a new German government, said the head of the German Council for Constitution and Sovereignty, Ralf Niemeyer.

According to Niemeyer, they are waiting for the opportunity to return to Russia and stressed that they are putting pressure on the authorities to re-establish ties with the Russian Federation.

The expert also pointed out that many German companies are unofficially considering options to return to the Russian market, a desire for favorable commercial conditions, and the prospects for long-term cooperation between the two countries.

MP Steffen Kotre described the rejection of Russian energy as a shot in the foot for Germany, because such measures cause significant damage to its economy.

Earlier, German Vice Chancellor and Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, Robert Habeck, admitted that Germany is too dependent on Russian gas and the Chinese market.
