Those specialists work 12-hour shifts to recover 181 transmission poles that were damaged.
The head of State learned that the restoration of power is at 94 percent, while the rehabilitation of communications is at 84 percent.
Later, at the National Center for Biopreparations (BioCen), he spoke with the directors and technicians of the center about the repair of the turbocharger, which could not be started after being stopped as a protective measure against the hurricane.
This is a productive institution that gives an outlet to the results of several scientific centers of the Group of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries of Cuba (BioCubaFarma).
The engineers of BioCen dismantled the engine of another turbo to place it in the damaged one and restart production in the center shortly.
Díaz-Canel, who is also the president of the National Defense Council, visited the Maceo-Gómez park, in the provincial capital, Bejucal, to learn about the damage in several buildings in its surroundings, including the House of Culture and the Family Care System.
In a conversation with the people of Bejucal, who came to greet him, the president affirmed that the municipality has done tremendous work in the recovery, the Presidency reported on X.
