The diplomat wrote on his Telegram channel on Tuesday that Lavrov will lead his country’s delegation, following instructions from President Vladimir Putin.
We will seek to develop a G20 leadership document that takes into account the multipolar realities of the modern world and a non-politicized response to socioeconomic challenges, reforms global institutions and strengthens the role of the world majority in decision-making, Berdiev added.
At a meeting with BRICS media leaders, Putin said he would not attend the G20 summit to be held in Brazil on November 18-19. He said he did not want to disrupt the event.
