The head of Bolivian diplomacy stressed that the change in objectives and the burden on countries in the Global South, in addition to attempts by those in the Collective West to set aside equity and their historical responsibility, pose an enormous challenge that must be overcome urgently.
On Tuesday, Sosa participated in the opening session of the Summit of Leaders for Climate Action, the High-Level Segment of Heads of State and the High-Level Roundtable on enabling climate finance, in addition to holding a meeting with the Global Director of Economic Empowerment of UN Women.
The Foreign Ministry reported that on Wednesday, the minister will participate in the special high-level event Adverse Impacts of Climate Change on the Degradation of Hydrographic Basins.
She will be among the participants in the high-level meeting Financing the Energy Transition with Justice and Equity – Advancing the Recommendations from the Secretary-General’s Panel on Critical Minerals for the Energy Transition.
Bolivian diplomatic told reporters that Sosa will hold several bilateral meetings on Wednesday.
