According to a press release sent by the Cuban diplomatic headquarters to Prensa Latina, Raila Amolo Odinga spoke the day before with partner states and observers of the continental organization, as part of the launching of Kenya’s presidential campaign.
Dinza, during an exchange with the candidate, expressed her best wishes during the next elections scheduled for February 2025 and her aspiration to further strengthen relations between the AU and the countries of the South, with special emphasis on the organization’s observer states.
Odinga, for his part, highlighted Cuba’s historical relations with African countries and recalled moments of his visit to Cuba, while Kenya’s ambassador to Ethiopia, George M. Orina, underscored his participation in the 2023 G77 plus China Summit as a member of the African country’s delegation.
The meeting hosted by the Nairobi Embassy in Addis Ababa was attended by the Kenyan Foreign Minister, Musalia W. Mudavadi, who also attended the side meetings, the release added.
