Promoted by the Cuban Book Institute (ICL), the event will take place at 11:00 local time on Calle de Madera, next to the Plaza de Armas in Old Havana, and is part of the programme of the 28th Alicia Alonso International Ballet Festival of Havana.
The volume, which will be presented for the first time in Cuba, is a creation of the renowned choreographer Alberto Méndez, winner of the National Dance Award, starring the prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso (1920-2019), which constitutes a dance-based approach to the art of the famous Greek soprano, Maria Callas.
The edition, by the Fundación de la Danza Alicia Alonso, in Madrid, is bilingual -Spanish and English-, and in its more than 200 pages includes a splendid iconography documentary , according to the ICL.
