Gaza without medical car, the wounded die on the streets

Ramallah, 7 November (Prensa Latina) Palestinian medical sources said today that many of those wounded by the Israeli attacks are dying on the streets of Gaza because there is no way to transfer them to hospitals and the latter lack medical personnel.

The sources, quoted by the Palestinian news agency Wafa, added that several injured in the Kamal Adwan hospital in the north of the coastal enclave lost their lives due to the lack of surgical specialists, adding that some injured manage to reach this medical center on foot because there is not a single ambulance in the northern Gaza Strip.

They denounced that the Israeli occupation army arrested most of the medical staff 10 days ago, leaving only two doctors and some nurses.

Several children and doctors were also injured by the direct and indiscriminate shelling of hospital facilities by the occupation army.

Despite the hospital administration’s constant appeals for help to the world and to international and humanitarian institutions, we have received no response, the sources said.

During 34 days of intense air and ground bombardment, and amid a tight siege that prevents the entry of food, water and medicine, more than 1,800 civilians have been killed in northern Gaza and thousands more wounded, mostly women and children.
