In a message addressed to Kim Jong-un, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of DPRK, Cuong said this purpose is in line with both countries’ will to contribute to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in Asia and the world.
The president pointed out that the two nations are preparing to mark next year the 75th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations, and recalled that his visit to the DPRK in 2013 left him “excellent impressions” of a serene, beautiful country that cherishes its friends.
Cuong’s letter aimed to thank Kim for his congratulatory message on the occasion of Cuong’s recent election as president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
