Heavy rains and strong wind gusts in northern Mexico

Mexico City, Nov 4 (Prensa Latina) The cold front number 7 and other phenomena will cause heavy rains in Nuevo Leon and Tamaulipas, as well as intense wind gusts in northern Mexico, the National Weather Service forecasts.

A statement from the institution refers to the maintenance of the decrease of temperatures in the northwest and north of the national territory and the probability of snow or sleet during the morning in the mountains of the states of Sonora and Chihuahua.

Experts also forecast waves of one to three meters high on the western coast of the Baja California peninsula.

On the other hand, a low pressure channel over the east and southeast of the country, combined with the entry of humidity from the Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea, will generate very heavy rainfall in Oaxaca and Chiapas, and heavy in Guerrero.

In addition, there will be showers and downpours in the west, center and east of the country, including the Mexico Valley and the Yucatan Peninsula.

Tropical wave number 30 will extend southwest of the coasts of Colima and Jalisco, without affecting Mexico, the text says, noting that the afternoon atmosphere will remain warm to very hot over entities of the Pacific coast and Gulf of Mexico, the Yucatan Peninsula and the northeast of the nation.
