Images on social media showed the faces of well-known members of extremist groups associated with the far-right Vox party, as well as young members of neo-Nazi groups, and other anti-system and climate change deniers.
Conservative media, led by ABC and El Mundo, successively published opinion pieces discrediting the government and in particular President Pedro Sánchez in the face of the climate crisis in Valencia.
On social media there was an aggressive campaign against Sánchez, who was seen in Paiporta, Valencian Community, “escaping” the protests, and the throwing of mud and other objects, while accompanied by their Majesties, Felipe VI and queen Letizia.
However, it soon emerged that the head of the Executive was forced to leave the location after receiving a hit on his back, caused by a metallic object.
In truth, hundreds of people booed and insulted King Felipe and his wife, Letizia, and the presidents of the Government (Sánchez), and of the Valencian Community, Carlos Mazón.
Paiporta is one of the municipalities most affected by the Depression Isolated in High Levels (DANA), and it was the first point of the route of the authorities who also were to visit Chiva, where they finally did not arrive.
