Cuba, in need of variants to improve the conditions of the National Electro-energetic Grid (SEN), is looking for renewable energy sources, especially in coastal areas.
“Adelante”, an online weekly, informed that the construction of wind energy farms in the Nuevitas municipality is a government priority.
In recent years, some institutions, such as the Center of Atmospheric Physics of the Cuban Institute of Meteorology (INSMET) and several universities, have determined that the country has 21 areas for building wind energy farms, essential spaces for future energy generation.
