During a meeting of the Provincial Council, the head of Government analyzed the control actions developed over the past few months in the territory, which have allowed to reduce the fiscal deficit of the country.
He also referred to the process of accountability by the People’s Power delegates to their voters, which is taking place all over the country until November 15, according to the official X account of the Cuban Government.
Marrero stressed that these community meetings “have filled us with encouragement and commitment, based on the people’s support and where the approaches that call for popular participation have predominated.”
The Provincial Council informed that although Camagüey has managed to reduce the fiscal deficit; a high number of accounts have not reported operations; food production is insufficient; the execution of the budget in social programs is low; and crime is escalating.
On Thursday, the extraordinary plenary session of the provincial committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) took place in the Camagüey, chaired by PCC First Secretary and President of the Republic Miguel Díaz-Canel.
At that meeting, the head of state emphasized the importance of local development and the increase in productive forces to meet the needs of the population.
