Rodriguez arrived in Hanoi on Monday and held separate meetings on Tuesday with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) To Lam, President Luong Cuong, and Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan.

The Vietnamese Party leader also called on the two countries to enhance political trust by exchanging high-level delegations and promoting cooperation between the parties, especially in theory, experience, and party building.
During the meeting with the head of State, Rodriguez affirmed that Venezuela considers the achievements and experiences in Vietnam’s renewal process as models and lessons of reference.
She also expressed gratitude for the support Vietnam has offered to her country, in complex moments of economic aggression to which it is subjected through the imposition of more than 900 unilateral coercive measures.
