The military institution’s statement, announced on its official Telegram channel this Wednesday, specifies that of the 23 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), seven were shot down over the Rostov province, five others over Kursk, four over Smolensk, three in Orlov, others in Bryansk, and one over Belgorod.
Ukrainian drone attacks on oil refineries and fuel depots in Russia have intensified, especially in the bordering provinces and remote areas, in recent months.
The territory of Crimea, which seceded from Ukraine and rejoined Russia in 2014, has been one of the targets of attacks and sabotage by the Ukrainian army since Moscow launched its special military operation in 2022.
