This is the purpose of an exhibition inaugurated on Tuesday at the Palace of Science and Technology with the participation of companies and scientific institutions dedicated to the field in both nations.
The event, entitled IT, digital development and cooperation, showcases products, research work and innovations on this field in order to take advantage of the best experiences for the economic and social development of the two countries.
In his opening speech, Ju Yong Il, Minister of Information Industry of the DPRK, expressed the aspiration of the DPRK to keep abreast of global IT trends and to enrich them with its own programs and resources.
For his part, Russian Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Post and Mass Communication Andrei Zarenin expressed willingness to cooperate with the DPRK on this field in line with the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement signed by President Vladimir Putin and Chairman of the State Affairs Committee Kim Jong Un.
Signed last June during Putin’s visit to the DPRK, the treaty covers cooperation in military matters, but also in health, medical education, science and scientific research.
