Israel’s massive raids on Gaza leave over hundred casualties

Ramallah, Oct 29 (Prensa Latina) A fresh wave of Israeli air raids against the Gaza Strip left Tuesday 115 dead civilians, 109 of them residents of the Northern quarters, bringing the death toll so far to 43,061, mostly children and women.

Since the beginning of Israel’s attacks on October 7, 2023, the number of injured has risen to 101,223, while thousands of victims are still under the rubble, according to the local health authorities.

In the city of Beit Lahia, medical sources registered 94 fatalities in the aftermath of an Israeli shelling of a five-story residential building.

The head of the Network of Non-Governmental Organizations in the Gaza Strip, Amjad Shawa, denounced that the number of humanitarian aid trucks that have entered since the beginning of this month does not exceed 800, in the midst of an increasingly suffocating siege.

Shawa warned of the spread of famine and malnutrition, as the number of wounded receiving treatment in tents and shelter centers increases sharply, amid a shortage of medicines and medical supplies.

There are more than 26,000 sick and injured Gazans needing to urgently leave the coastal enclave to be properly tended, as Gaza currently lacks medical capacities.
