Leslie Voltaire, head of Haiti’s Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) and his delegation are responding to an invitation from Colombian President Gustavo Petro.
During this COP 16, Voltaire will have the opportunity to reaffirm the Caribbean country’s commitment to environmental protection.
According to the digital newspaper Haiti Libre, he will advocate for greater international solidarity in the face of climate challenges, which particularly affect the most vulnerable nations.
The meeting brings together leaders from around the world to establish agreements that strengthen the protection of the planet and promote the sustainable management of biodiversity.
In Colombia, Voltaire will meet with the Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres, to discuss the security situation and the humanitarian crisis in Haiti.
An opportunity to sensitize the international community on the need to strengthen its support for Haiti’s stability and reconstruction.
