According to a press release from the Foreign Ministry, the head of Cuban diplomacy will be accompanied by Deputy Minister Anayansi Rodriguez; Cuba’s permanent representative at the UN Ernesto Soberon, and other directors and officials.
The planned agenda includes two days (Tuesday and Wednesday) to submit the document to the UN General Assembly.
On Wednesday, October 30, the forum of 193 countries will vote on Cuba’s draft resolution, which estimates losses of 5,056.8 million dollars as a result of the US blockade between March 2023 and February 29, 2024.
That figure accounts for an increase of 189.8 million dollars compared to the previous report.
The approximate impact is more than 421 million dollars per month, more than 13.8 million dollars per day, and more than 575,683 dollars in damages for each hour of blockade.
In total, after more than six decades of Washingon inhumane policy against Cuba, the consequences exceed 1.499 trillion dollars.
When presenting the report in September, Rodríguez denounced the impact of that policy on Cuba’s foreign trade and international financial relations.
These meaures have been severely reinforced after Cuba’s inclusion in the US State Department’s State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT) list.
