In a message through his Instagram account, the Bolivarian head of state said he trusts that Bolivia, “the favorite daughter of Liberator Simón Bolívar, and its institutions, will investigate in depth and find those responsible.”
“From Venezuela I express all our solidarity,” said the president.
In a statement this Sunday, the Foreign Ministry repudiated the attack perpetrated against the former Bolivian president, which occurred in the Tropic of Cochabamba when he was going to carry out activities in his work agenda.
The note described this act as abhorrent, constituting “an act of fascist violence that seeks to instill violence and political hatred in Bolivian society.”
Venezuela welcomed the start of investigations by the government of President Luis Arce to clarify and penalize this attack on the physical integrity of the former Bolivian president, which disturbs the tranquility of Bolivians.
Consistent with its Diplomacy of Peace, the Bolivarian government expressed solidarity with the leadership of the Movement for Socialism, and reiterated “its fraternity and friendship with the brotherly Bolivian people.”
