The exhibition, called “Cuba is not alone,” will be displayed in the streets of that American city and is the result of an initiative promoted by the Artists vs Blockade Movement, the Foreign Ministry reported through X social media.
According to the report released with the hashtag #CubaIsNotAlone, 50 works will be presented, which will coincide with the discussion at the United Nations of the Resolution to end the U.S. blockade of Cuba, on October 29 and 30.
Painters, graphic designers and other creators will demand the end of that policy and will also advocate the exclusion of the island from the List of Sponsors of Terrorism, drawn up by the White House.
In its call, the Artists vs Blockade Movement urged to support a cause that goes beyond borders, and stated that ‘it is crucial to amplify the voices of support for the Cuban people, who have withstood unjust and unilateral sanctions for decades’.
“You have the power to capture a message of hope, solidarity and resilience through your art, Your creativity can make a difference!” The Ministry concluded.
