He noted that the UN resolutions that call for an end to this policy of interventionist measures have been almost unanimous, except for the complicit votes of the United States and Israel.
Next weel, the UN General Assembly will debate and vote again on the resolution against the blockade of Cuba, a statement that has received the majority support of the countries of the world every year since 1992.
“From Our America, a key phrase coined by (Cuban poet and national hero) José Martí, we insist that the sovereignty of the Cuban Government and people be respected,” Pérez Grande stressed.
He added that Cuba “continues to offer, with stoicism and dignity, a moving example of resilience and a sense of belonging to an admirable history that they have forged, highlighting the best of our human condition.”
