Indian and Venezuelan Vice Presidents hold talks on bilateral ties

New Delhi, Oct 25 (Prensa Latina) The Vice Presidents of India and Venezuela, Jagdeep Dhankhar and Delcy Rodriguez, respectively, talked today about strengthening economic cooperation and relations between their countries.

During the meeting in New Delhi, Dhankar and Rodriguez also discussed improving ties between their peoples and promoting yoga and ayurveda that are practices for healthy living originating in India, the Indian Vice President reported on X.

After participating in the 16th BRICS Summit in the Russian city of Kazan as part of President Nicolas Maduro’s delegation, Rodriguez arrived in the Indian capital on Friday to fulfill a broad work agenda.

Official sources reported that the visit of the Venezuelan vice president will allow strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation with the Asian country, in addition to reaffirming the commitment to a new world without hegemony. Rodríguez was received upon her arrival by authorities from the Foreign Ministry and the Venezuelan ambassador to India, Capaya Rodríguez.

In recent years, both nations have deepened strategic ties and expanded cooperation in sectors such as trade, investments and the promotion of renewable energy. They have also signed important agreements in the pharmaceutical and energy industries.
