Quito, Oct 25 (Prensa Latina) The Guayasamín Foundation, dedicated to preserving the work of the distinguished Ecuadorian artist, informed on Thursday that a portrait of Princess Caroline of Monaco will be exhibited in Cuba soon.

According to Prensa Latina, the Oswaldo Guayasamín House Museum, located in the Historic Center of Havana, received the work as a donation from the protagonist.

The painting, which was part of the Grimaldi family’s private collection for more than four decades, was painted after the visit of Princess Caroline and her father, Prince Rainier of Monaco, to Ecuador in 1977, an event that strengthened the ties between the Principality of Monaco and the South American country.

From now on, the artwork becomes part of the permanent collection of the Oswaldo Guayasamín House Museum in Havana, a cultural center that was inaugurated in 1993, and preserves and promotes the legacy of the iconic Ecuadorian artist known as the “Painter of Ibero-America.”

The Guayasamín House serves as a cultural bridge between Ecuador and Cuba, promotes artistic exchange and strengthens relations between both peoples.
