The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility indicated in a statement that the latter will be a key driver to promote economic growth, equity and youth employment in Ibero-America.

The forum, to be held on the sidelines of the main event, will be attended by some 700 businessmen, younger entrepreneurs included, who will be able to explore new business opportunities through a B2B (business to business) platform.

When making the official announcement, Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Gabriela Sommerfeld stressed on Friday that efforts will be coordinated in Cuenca to generate concrete results, that will allow to solve the common challenges of the Ibero-American countries.

At least nine leaders will attend the Ibero-American Summit, along with representatives from 22 nations of that region and the European Union, as Sommerfeld herself recently announced.

The Foreign ministry stressed that the city of Cuenca, in southern Ecuador, was chosen as the venue for both meetings from November 12 to 15 considering its legacy of innovation, inclusion and sustainability.
