The company reported that the flights will be carried out on A320 family aircraft, with capacity for 180 passengers, which will represent a total offer for its clients of more than 2,500 seats per week between the two cities.
According to the director of sales for Colombia and South America of Avianca, David Alemán, the opening of the route will allow us to offer greater and better international connectivity.
“We are happy to be able to land in Havana at the end of this year with a new direct route that will allow millions of passengers to connect from different parts of the world with the history, gastronomy and culture of Havana, through Bogotá,” he said.
Customers who wish to purchase their tickets can do so through avianca.com, the mobile application, physical points of sale and travel agencies, the company specified in its note.
The communication added that there will be a Bogotá-Havana route (flight AV54) that will depart at 12:35 and land at 16:00; while the Havana-Bogotá route (Flight AV55) will depart at 17:10 and land in Colombia at 20:25.
