Panama City, Oct 24 (Prensa Latina) The José Marti Association of Cuban Residents in Panama (AMCRP) on Thursday convened the 14th Caravan for Sunday, October 27, to condemn the over six-decade old US blockade on the island.

AMCRP President Humberto Perez told Prensa Latina that the they plan to travel through this capital’s leading streets, starting at the University of Panama, and ending at the emblematic Belisario Porras Park.

Perez said this time the condemnation of the US hostile policy will occur a few hours before Cuban Foreign Ministry Bruno Rodriguez presents a resolution to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) demanding the end of the US siege.

It will also be an handy occasion to voice solidarity for the Cuban Government and people, now affected by a dire energy situation and gradually leaving it behind, despite a shortage of fuel and other resources, as a consequence of Washington’s coercive measures.

The AMCRP members will also demand that the Joe Biden administration remove Cuba from Washington’s State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT) list, which affects negatively normal commercial and financial relations with the Caribbean nation.

According to reports, the Cuban foreign minister will present again the resolution entitled “Necessity of Ending the Economic, Commercial, and Financial Blockade Imposed by the United States of America against Cuba” at the United Nations later this month.
