The Sri Lankan newspaper explained that Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel reviewed the situation related to the power cut the Cubans suffered in the last few days due to the US blockade, and the effects of the hurricane that hit that nation’s eastern region.
The Lanka Leader stated that a set of measures were analyzed for each province to fight weather conditions and the citizens’ safety.
The newspaper underscored that Diaz-Canel condemned the US government’s blockade policy, which has deprived his country of a stable fuel supply, one of the leading causes of the collapse of the national power grid.
It also highlighted the Cuban president’s statements about the hard work in his country to stabilize the SEN and obtain a sustainable fuel supply.
The Cuban president also highlighted his nation’s unity and the electricity workers’ dedication to face those situations, the Lanka Leader pointed out.
