At the José Martí Plaza on Las Américas Avenue in this capital, at the foot of the monument that honors the Apostle of Cuban Independence, Fernández presented certificates to each Cuban collaborator as an acknowledgement of their work.
Accompanying Fernández were the rector of the Latin American School of Medicine in Havana, Yoandra Muro, and the head of the medical brigade in Guatemala, Mariheta Cutiño.
On Sunday, the Cuban medical brigade received demonstrations of respect, admiration and affection during the 2nd National Meeting of Doctors Graduated from Cuba’s ELAM, in the department of San Marcos.
