The Cuban leader sent a warm greeting to the general secretary of the Communist Party and president of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, whom he thanked for his strong stand of solidarity for Cuba at these complex times, due to the intensification of the US blockade.
On Tuesday, Li Shulei met with PCC First Secretary Miguel Díaz-Canel, who stressed that this visit “ratifies the importance that both parties grant to the exchange of high-level political delegations, because it is a milestone in strengthening our historic relations.”
The Chinese party leader will stay in Cuba until Thursday. He is accompanied by a broad representation of CPC officials, as well as experts from various research centers in his country.
