Located near 22.8 degrees North latitude and 74.7 degrees West longitude, Oscar is moving northeastward at 19 kph. As the forecast track reported, the eye of Oscar is expected to move near the central and southeastern Bahamas this Tuesday, then move away tonight and Wednesday.
Weather forecasters say Oscar will become a post-tropical low by tonight and then be absorbed by another low-pressure area.
The Atlantic and Caribbean cyclone season began on June 1 and will end on November 30.
According to statistics, 13 tropical cyclones have formed so far, and all of them became named storms. Nine of which became hurricanes, and four became major hurricanes.
