Most Uruguayans bet on Yamandu Orsi as their next president

Montevideo, Oct 22 (Prensa Latina) Most Uruguayans believe the Broad Front (Frente Amplio-FA) candidate Yamandú Orsi will be the country's next president, according to the results of a poll published on Tuesday.

Regardless of their political leanings and who they will vote for, six out of ten citizens (56.2 percent) believe that Orsi will win elections, the latest poll conducted by El Observador newspaper and university academicians reported.

A third of those polled stated that Alvaro Delgado, a candidate of the ruling National Party (PN), will be the one to assume the presidency on March 1, 2025.

Despite his aggressive campaign to present himself as a presidential candidate, only 7.6 percent of those polled noted that the Colorado Party (PC) candidate Andres Ojeda would become president.

More than 4,800 locals answered the poll, which ultimately gave victory to the FA candidate.
