The Ecuadorian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility mentioned in an interview with local radio station Radio Centro that the response of one or two more leaders is still expected.
In addition, she said that vice presidents, foreign ministers and other representatives from 22 countries, as well as from the European Union, will attend the event. A total of 1,200 people will participate in the Summit of Heads of State and the Business Summit that will also take place on those days, said the foreign minister, who also highlighted that 90 media outlets are accredited.
Less than a month before the celebration of this high-level meeting, Sommerfeld considered that the meeting will be a success and that the Cuenca Declaration will be adopted with the agreements reached in the series of previous forums held during the course of this year.
Likewise, she stressed that the city of Cuenca, in southern Ecuador, was chosen as the venue for the meeting due to its legacy of innovation, inclusion and sustainability.
