Venezuelan Vice President arrived in Kazan for the Brics Summit

Kazan, Russia Oct 21 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez arrived today in this Russian city to attend the 16th Summit of the Brics group.

Through the Instagram platform, Rodriguez announced her arrival to participate in what she called a transcendental meeting, where “a new world of legality and a new international economic order is formed”.

She stressed that Venezuela forges its diplomatic and geopolitical bases on anti-hegemonism and sovereign equality of nations.

“We are grateful for the warm reception of the national, regional and local authorities!”, she stressed.

An audiovisual that accompanies the message shows the moment in which the also Minister for Petroleum descends from the Conviasa aircraft and is received by the authorities at the airport, together with the Venezuelan Foreign Affairs Minister, Yvan Gil.

The Foreign Ministry held last week the Forum “Brics: Multipolar World under Construction”, in which the South American nation ratified its willingness to actively participate in the construction of a New World Order.

At the meeting, Gil emphasized that as a State and Government they have the will to actively participate in this endeavor through this bloc under construction.

The purpose of the meeting was to foster a debate on the emergence of a new geopolitical dynamic that promotes the development of peoples through complementary cooperation and respect for sovereignty, without coercion or inequality.

Venezuela reaffirmed its commitment to pave the way for its integration into the Brics, where “we will make available our knowledge in the fight against unilateral coercive measures, as well as our abundant natural resources at the service of the peoples”.

Gil commented that in the current context two models are confronting each other: one that advocates equality, with the Brics leading the way, and another that perpetuates neocolonialism, benefiting only the imperialist elites.

We say it with much humility, but also with much pride, that “Venezuela has been building a series of important alliances that are perfectly in line with the principles” of that bloc made up of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, he pointed out.

The South American nation hopes to become a full member at this Brics Summit, to be held on October 22 and 23.
