One of the new projects promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum, will seek to improve the quality of life of these citizens through visits by medical personnel to their homes so that they do not have to travel, and will contribute to reduce the overcrowding of hospital services.
Recently, the Secretary of Welfare, Ariadna Montiel, explained that in order to implement the program, the Health and Welfare Census will also be carried out from October to December, with the support of national servants who will visit 13.6 million people.
Through this census, health data will be collected, such as history, diseases, clinical studies, last medical visits, medications, disabilities, diet, physical activities, emotional condition, and personal information on education, occupation, income or family relationships.
According to the head of the program, the census will determine the personalized attention scheme, in order to deliver a health booklet in which the medical visits will be recorded every two months, as well as the procedures carried out by the personnel that will be hired.
In the medical consultations “they will take their vital signs, if necessary they will prescribe the medicine they require and then, to be able to go for their medicine for free, next to the welfare banks, we will set up welfare pharmacies,” Sheinbaum said about the program, which should start in February.
