Upon receiving the Director General of the Department of Arab Relations of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Anwar Abdul Hadi, Al-Mekdad stressed that the Palestinian cause remains the most important one in Syria and that Damascus will continue to support the Palestinians until they achieve the establishment of an independent State in their territory.

Al-Mekdad urged an end to the attacks, war crimes and genocide committed by Israel in Gaza and the West Bank, and denounced Tel Aviv’s intentions to expand the war to other countries in the region under the aegis of the United States.

The Vice President stressed the need for all countries to assume their moral and humanitarian responsibilities to stop these crimes and ensure that Israeli occupants be held accountable for their atrocities.

In turn, Abdul Hadi expressed the Palestinians’ gratitude to Syria for its inalienable position in favor of the Palestinian cause.
