The functionary arrived on Wednesday in the capital of Nicaragua, where she met with the president of the National Assembly, Gustavo Porras, and other members of the board of directors of the legislative body.
During the meeting, the visitor stressed the importance of strengthening mutual exchanges and stated that the forms of democracies are multiple and each country has its own conviction. “We have to strengthen democracies with reciprocal learning and political exchange, and together we make great efforts to build a community with a shared future for humanity,” she said.
The officials addressed the issue of gender equality and came to the conclusion that if Nicaragua wants to fight poverty with the success of the Chinese, it must continue working on gender practices.
During the meeting, the Nicaraguan deputies reiterated their support for the principle of one China, as well as their support for all of President Xi Jinping’s initiatives and the efforts of the Communist Party.
The delegation also held a meeting on Wednesday with members of the Government Cabinet and its institutions, as well as with the Sandinista Youth and municipal authorities of Managua, among other officials.
As part of the agenda, Huang and her delegation have scheduled meetings with the Attorney General’s Office, the Ministries of Women, Children, Youth and Education, the National Council of Universities and the Technological Institute. In addition, they will speak with representatives of the Sandinista National Liberation Front, to exchange ideas on the promotion of fraternal bilateral cooperation between both peoples and governments.
