Pianist Rolando Luna to honor Cuban culture in France

Paris, Oct 16 (Prensa Latina) Cuban virtuous pianist Rolando Luna will pay tribute to his country's culture with a concert in Enghien-les-Bains, in the Paris region, on October 22, artistic promoter Carmen Mayans stressed on Wednesday.

Considered one of the most brilliant and renowned musicians of his generation, the 46-year-old composer and arranger creates great expectations with each memorable performance in this country, in venues such as the prestigious Jazz in Marciac Festival.

The Auditorium of the School of Music and Dance will host the artist’s unique concert to celebrate Cuban Culture Days, which commemorates October 20 the date on which the Cuban National Anthem was sung for the first time, in 1868, during the war for independence from the Spanish colonial ruling.

Mayans told Prensa Latina that everything is ready for Luna’s performance in Enghien-les-Bains, promoted by that commune’s Arts Center.

Among his works, the pianist is expected to perform titles from his album “Rolando’s Faces,” which combines studio and public recordings and has received positive opinions from critics.
