Sirens sounded in the Upper Galilee region after the projectiles launch were detected, and the Iron Dome (the Israeli missile defense system) was able to intercept some of the incoming missiles, while others hit their targets.
Israel media considered that the attack occurred at an unusual and late time, since it was carried out at 01:30 in the morning on Wednesday, and forced tens of thousands of settlers to go to shelters. They added that two Israelis were injured by the impact of five missiles that the air defense systems could not intercept.
The resistance fighters attacked three bulldozers and a Merkava tank with guided missiles on the outskirts of Ramia. The vehicles were set on fire and their crews killed or wounded. Another Merkava tank in its advance suffered equal fate.
Hezbollah’s Under-Secretary General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, said on Tuesday that despite the blows dealt by Israel, the Resistance in Lebanon had regained its stronghold, rebuilt its organizational structure. He warned that the field will determine victory, while denouncing that the Israeli occupants attacked members of the Lebanese army, the United Nations Interim Force, and destroyed places of worship, mosques, churches and aid convoys in its hostility against Lebanon.
Regarding direct confrontation, Qassem said that the Resistance is no longer in a phase of supporting Gaza and has started with the equation on the battlefield on the front line.
Hezbollah claims that its attacks against Israeli targets are in retaliation for the genocide being committed in Gaza, Israel’s aggression against Lebanese civilians, and in compliance with the call of leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was assassinated on September 27th.
