Cuba thanks Russia’s Federal Bailiff Service for cooperation

Havana, Oct 16 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdés thanked Russia's Federal Bailiff Service on Wednesday for its efforts to improve Cuba's judicial system.

During a meeting with the director of that body, Colonel General Dimitry Aristov, Valdés underlined Russia’s contribution “to achieve effective management in compliance with judicial and administrative orders and resolutions.”

Mesa, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) also received Aristov, who heads a high-level delegation that began a work visit to Havana on Tuesday, at the Presidential Palace.

According to a report on the meeting published on the Presidency’s website, the vice president assured that Cuban authorities pay close attention to that activity, which has constitutional support and is mandatory for all.

He added that since May 2023, when they also met in Havana, relations “and the flow of meetings” have increased.

Aristov, in turn, noted that he is very happy to be in Cuba and to meet with Salvador Valdés, the official communication pointed out.

It is very important to see the priority that the Cuban Government gives to this kind of activity; and we are ready to offer any kind of assistance and cooperation for the improvement that you have proposed, the Russian official said.

Aristov and the delegation accompanying him are on a visit to exchange experiences with judges and magistrates in Cuba, who are participating in a training seminar on topics of common interest, the execution of judicial rulings and the strengthening of other lines of cooperation.
