The meeting took place as part of the China-Latin America and Caribbean Media Cooperation Forum 2024, which is gathering here today, organized by the People’s Daily and Monitor Mercantil, of the host country.
The vice presidents underlined, as the main objective of the event, the strengthening of links, in the media field, between China and the Latin American continent, which this week brings together managers and representatives of the media from many countries.
They also discussed the close ties between Prensa Latina and People’s Daily, which are part of China and Cuba’s historical relationship.
Hu particularly thanked the news agency’s kindness in providing numerous and valuable images for the China-Latin America Friendship Photo Exhibition, to be inaugurated at the Planetary Foundation of Rio de Janeiro.
The meeting began on Tuesday and will last until Friday, focused on dialogue on the achievements of the last decade since the creation of the China-Celac Forum (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States).
In addition, the cultural exchange between the two sides will be enhanced to promote consensus and synergies in building a shared future between both sides, according to the organizers.
