According to the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry on social media, the presentation will be at 2:00 p.m. local time and the film El Mayor, by the director himself, who died a few years ago, will also be screened.
This feature film is inspired on Ignacio Agramonte, legendary Cuban patriot known as El Mayor, and was presented at the 42nd Latin American Film Festival in Havana.
The production by Rigoberto López (1947-2019) joins the interesting list of film titles that address that period of national history, that of the wars of independence of the Spanish metropolis.
At the same time, it also represents an approach to one of the most admired figures of the mambisa feat.
