The state-run KCNA news agency reported that the meeting discussed the report submitted by the DPRK General Directorate of Exploration (DGE) on the serious incident of violation of the DPRK’s sovereignty, committed by South Korea.

They also reviewed other reports on the military response action plan, the measures for modernization of military technical equipment, the production of armaments and the status of the information technology operation.

These topics were presented by the General Staff of the Korean People’s Army (KPA), the Ministry of National Defense, the arms industry office of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), and the Ministry of State Security (SE).

President Kim Jong Un evaluated the data and criteria of measures referred to, in the reports of various national defense and security groups and gave his conclusions concerning them.

He also set forth the course of the impending military actions and elucidated the tasks to be carried out in activating the war deterrent and exercising the right to self-defense to protect the sovereignty of the country and its security and interests.
