Fernandez made this assessment in Germany, as she lectured on the tightening of the U.S. blockade, following the inclusion of Cuba in the arbitrary State Sponsoring Terrorism (SST) list, drawn up by the White House.

Fernández pointed out that the U.S. hostility damages the food supply to the population and harms the efforts by the authorities to achieve food sovereignty.

The meeting was organized by Cuba Sí, a group supportive of Cuba in the Die Linke party.

The Cuban Association of Animal Production, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, works closely with the Ministry of Agriculture and has advisory status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
