According to the Department of Emigration and Passports, the total number of persons arriving in Syria includes almost 128 thousand Lebanese and the rest are Syrians residing in Lebanon.
Member of the Executive Office of the Damascus-Field Governorate Alaa Al-Sheikh told the press that the number of displaced persons who entered through the Jedeidet Jabous border crossing amounted to 207,740, including 162,104 Syrians and 45,636 Lebanese.
In turn, the secretary of the Subcommittee for Relief in Homs governorate, Adnan Naasa, revealed that 139,379 people arrived through the three border crossing points in the governorate, including 74,000 Syrians and 64,4013 Lebanese since September 24, 2008.
Through the Arrida border crossing in the coastal province of Tartous, 24,240 displaced persons, including 7,959 Lebanese, were registered to have entered, said the secretary general of the governorate, Hassan Hassan.
