Monorom Keo, dean of Cambodia’s National Institute of Physical Education and Sports (NIPES), who will attend the event on October 21-24, made the announcement on Friday.
In a pleasant meeting with Cuban Ambassador to Phnom Penh, Milena Zaldivar, Keo underscored that his country’s participation in UNAFID 2024 will address bilateral cooperation initiatives and strengthening ties between the NIPES and the “Manuel Fajardo” University of Sciences of Physical Culture and Sport (UCCFD).
A graduate of the International School of Physical Education and Sports in Cuba, Monorom Keo is a standard supporter of educational cooperation between Cuba and Cambodia and an active member of the friendship movement between the two nations.
Keo’s visit to Cuba on behalf of Cambodia’s Education, Youth, and Sports Minister Hangchuon Naron will contribute to exchanging, promoting, and disseminating experiences and research results in the academic field of physical activity and sport, one of the event’s objectives.
