Cuban president attends congress of people with physical disabilities

Havana, Oct 9 (Prensa Latina) President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Wednesday attended the opening session of the 6th Congress of People with Mobility and Physical Disabilities (ACLIFIM), at Havana’s Convention Center.

During the meeting, summoned under the theme “For inclusion from and for the community” and running through Thursday, participants will debate the fulfillment of the organizational strategy of the association for the period 2020-2024.

The forum will feature committees to analyze the latest works of the association, established on March 14, 1980.

The Cuban Association of People with Mobility and Physical Disabilities, earlier called Cuban Association of Mobility and Physically Disabled People, is a national and permanent non-profit organization with its own legal personality, made up of people with mobility and physical disabilities, Cubans and foreigners permanently residing in Cuba.
