An aircraft of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), on its third flight bringing Brazilian citizens from Lebanon, flew back loaded with 491 kilos of medicines, rehydration packs and disposable syringes, according to a note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The operation was coordinated by the Brazilian Agency for Cooperation (ABC), of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in partnership with the Ministries of Health and Defense.
In addition to this cargo, the FAB aircraft carried seven tons of medicines collected in an initiative coordinated by the Lebanese Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro.
The first Lebanon donation from the administration of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was sent last Sunday, following the arrival of the first group of repatriated Brazilians and relatives.
